CAPE TOWN: Ilitha labantu joined by its volunteers and Nyanga SAPS marched to the N2 road with their plug cards on Wednesday to say no to violence and abuse against women and children. Ilitha Labantu social worker Zoliswa Mbekwa said as the organisation they are concerned that not enough is being done to help to put an end to the violence and abuse of women. “Every week we receive alarming rates of cases of abuse and femicide, we call upon people to unite to help put an end to the brutalization of our women and girls” she said.
