Mark Minnie, the co-author of the controversial book, “The Lost Boys of Bird Island”, was found dead on the outskirts of Port Elizabeth.
Police said Mark Minnie was found last night with a gunshot wound to his head. A pistol was found lying next to him. At this stage no foul play was suspected.
Shocking allegations of a child-sex ring in the 1980s involving former National Party ministers were revealed in the book which was written by Minnie and Chris Steyn. ‘Lost Boys’ also puts forward the theory that former minister John Wiley’s death may not have been a suicide as had officially been reported.
