No time to waste at up-cycled desks

CAPE TOWN: Ikhaya Le Themba non profit organisation was the recipient in the Western Cape to received up-cycled desks on Friday. The school received 45 green desks that were made out of recycled waste. The desks were made by Wildlands as part of the Old Mutual Two Oceans Marathon #GOGREEN campaign.
Deputy Director ofMarketing for Wildlands, Lauren van Nijkerk, said that after extensive research a solution was found to deal with previously un-recyclable waste.
Nijkerk explaine that they chose Ikhaya Le Themba as the first recipient because of their help in establishing the Imizamo Yethu marshalling team in conjunction with the Two Oceans. Video by: Sandisiwe Ntlemeza/ ANA Pictures
