CAPE TOWN: About 150 residents of Endlovini informal settlements, Khayelitsha marched outside Cape Town High Court when the City filed an application at the High Court for the evictions of 633 residents on Friday. Approximately 633 residents were evicted a month ago, after Endlovini leadership and Monwabisi Park have expressed concern over the impact of the ongoing land grabbing conflict on the area’s development.

Residents claim that during the demolition of the shacks they lost their documents and their building materials. Some said they would continue building even after demolition until the City provides them with homes. Video by: Lubabalo Poswa/ ANA Pictures
