CAPE TOWN: Former social development Minister Bathabile Dlamini will find out on Thursday if she is personally liable for the costs related to a court application to rescue Sassa.

The Constitutional Court will rule on costs in terms of section 38 of the Superior Courts Act, and consider her role and responsibilities which have seen Sassa lodge court cases.

The court ruled last month that former Sassa CEO Pearl Bhengu and Sassa should bear the costs for an urgent application to extend the agency’s contract with Cash Paymaster Services (CPS). Article: Mary Jane Mphahlele/ Video: Lubabalo Poswa/ANA
