On Mandela Day, 18 July 2016, the 2016 International AIDS Conference commenced in Durban South Africa. Present at the opening ceremony were scientists, doctors, politicians as well as high ranking government officials. Charlize Theron, Cyril Ramaphosa and Olive Shisana are just a few of the famous people present at the launch of this massive event.
