Dlamini-Zuma State of the Continent briefing

Some of the issues she discussed was the notion of free education in the continent, concluding that, ” there should be no child that is denied education because of poverty.” 

When posed with the question of fair land distribution, Dlamini-Zuma said that ensuring that all citizens benefit equally from land is a very complex issue, as at times land is given back to communities who are unable to cultivate it accordingly. Therefore, the AU is paying great emphasis on encouraging more youth to take part in the agricultural business. 

This was her last State of the Continent address as the chairperson of the AU as she will be leaving her position  next month.
