The owner of a car parked at CPUTs Bellville campus collapsed when he saw his vehicle go up in flames on Monday.
His was one of six cars torched at the university, and unconfirmed reports reveal students are allegedly behind the attacks.
Extinguishers from the university’s engineering department were used to douse the fires.
Police are investigating.
